Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Columbia, South Carolina. You will operate safe trucks on regional routes with a starting schedule of 5:00 AM and a Monday–Friday workweek, with weekly pay, PTO from day 1, and various benefits.

Drivers are supported by 24/7 roadside maintenance, paid training, and company-provided uniforms and allowances. This role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer.
• Experience options: 9 months in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical, drug and alcohol verification, and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and carrier standards.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of hours and routes.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight when required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
