Job summary

Performance Foodservice, part of Performance Food Group, seeks a Shuttle Driver to move trailers and support its food distribution network from Temple, TX. You will transport trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, perform safety checks, and ensure loads are secured in a timely manner per DOT rules.

CDL-A with doubles, current DOT Health Card, and a 21+ age minimum are required. Training lasts 2 weeks in Temple, with a $60,000–$70,000 annual pay and generous benefits including a $5,000

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 6-12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to pass a drug test.
• Clean MVR for the last 3 years and DOT Health Card current.
• Ability to pass road test and maintain load safety per DOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip and inspect tractor/trailer per DOT.
• Drive intrastate and interstate routes hauling trailers to destinations.
• Hook/unhook duties and secure freight properly.
• Ensure route paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintain daily hours of service logs and keep work areas clean.
• Communicate with customers and team professionally.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

6-12 months commercial driving experience

CDL-A with Doubles Endorsement

Clean MVR for past 3 years

DOT Health Card

Ability to pass pre-employment drug test

Ability to pass road test
