Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• 1 year experience within the most recent 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR 391.
• LCV qualifications apply in listed states (AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD, UT).
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook-up and break-down sets of trailers requiring ~100 lb lift repeatedly.
• Ability to sit extended periods, bend, twist, squat, climb in/out of truck.
• Ability to work independently or as a team; demonstrate initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Follow all laws and company policies.
