Job summary

Baker Commodities, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Relief Driver to operate commercial vehicles and support delivery operations on variable shifts. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years of age, and endorsements for tanker and doubles where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• Must be 21 or older to comply with Federal regulations.
• Endorsements (tanker and doubles) based on vehicle assigned.
• 2 years commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR.
• Ability to complete Entry Level Driver program if less than 2 years commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicle to ensure safety and equipment is in good order.
• Drive assigned vehicle on designated routes, collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods and report defects or incidents.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and adjust routes using GPS to maximize fuel efficiency.
• Load/unload trucks as needed and interact professionally with contacts.
