Job summary

Safeload Trucking in Fort Wayne is seeking regional drivers for a night-drive schedule. Compensation is 25% of line haul revenue, with average weekly pay between $1,200 and $1,500, plus weekend freight premiums for weekend routes.

You’ll be home every weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning) on a Monday–Friday regional pattern, with 99% no-touch freight in Indiana and nearby states, a modern fleet, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months verifiable driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years).
• Must pass DOT drug test and physical.
• Must be comfortable with night driving and overnight schedule.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload: 99% no touch freight.
• Operate in Indiana and surrounding regional states on a regional schedule.
• Maintain safe driving practices and adherence to DOT regulations.

Compensation

Pay structure: 25% of line haul revenue

Average weekly pay: $1,200 - $1,500 per week

Weekend availability pay: $1,200 - $2,000 weekly average for drivers open to weekend freight

Top earners: Drivers who run weekend freight consistently earn the highest weekly revenue

Layover pay, Breakdown pay, Detention pay, Extra stop pay provided

Advance pay: $200 weekly available

Home Time and Schedule

Guaranteed home every weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning)

Monday through Friday regional operation

Night driving required (mandatory overnight schedule)

Weekend freight optional with additional earning potential

Routes and Freight

Load and unload: 99% no touch freight

Operating area: Indiana and surrounding regional states

Equipment

2021-2024 Kenworth T680 and Freightliner Cascadia tractors

Automatic transmission

Permanent assigned truck with take-home privileges

APU or Auto Start/Stop on most units for fuel efficiency and comfort
