Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics is seeking a CDL A Truck Driver for regional and OTR deliveries in the USA. The role handles same-day pickup and delivery operations within a defined geographic area, ensuring safe, timely transportation of freight with a safety-first mindset and professional customer service.

You will manage multiple stops, maintain shipment documentation, and represent DSV professionally in customer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL A License required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred).
  • Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41).
  • No positive drug or alcohol test results in the past five years.
  • Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, and urban driving environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of load securement and freight handling.
  • Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in customer-facing environments.
  • Hazmat endorsement required.
  • TWIC card (or ability to obtain within 90 days, if required).

Responsibilities

  • Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
  • Backs trailers to customer dock.
  • Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe driving behavior.
  • Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
  • Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
  • Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
  • Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
  • Swings and secures trailer doors.
  • Performs other duties as required.
