Job summary

HWY Express is seeking a CDL-A truck driver based in Macon, GA. Earn weekly pay between $1,475 and $1,575 with CPM plus monthly performance bonus. Most loads are no-touch and drop-and-hook, supporting a reliable schedule.

Home every 7–10 days with a 34–48 hour reset. Regional routes operate east of I-35. Trucks are Peterbilt 579 (2019+), designed for driver comfort and efficiency on the road.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a Class A CDL and at least 3 months of recent driving experience in the last 3 years.
• Must hold a valid DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate no-touch dry van freight with 90% drop and hook freight to minimize loading time.
• Regional deliveries east of I-35 with home time every 7–10 days (34–48 hour reset).
• Maintain safety and compliance while on the road.

Drivers haul 100% no-touch dry van freight, and 90% of the loads are drop and hook freight keeps driver handling limited while supporting consistent time on the road.

Equipment:

Drivers operate Peterbilt 579 trucks from 2019 or newer with features for added comfort on the road:

• 1500-watt inverter and refrigerator
• Automatic transmission for ease of operation

To make onboarding more convenient, we offer online orientation. We also provide a rental car and hotel room for travel to the road test location. Physicals can be completed locally.

To qualify for this position:
