Qualifications

• Intrastate and Interstate Driving Experience Required.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol screen.
• Clean driving record.
• Class A CDL License for their state of residence Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Check shipping papers and bills of lading; verify load and securing methods.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT, OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Plan routes using GPS or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption.
• Load and unload freight and secure it for transport, noting any damages or exceptions.
• Maintain driver logs and comply with weight restrictions and weigh stations.
