Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways in Ohio is hiring a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul freight across our regional lanes. We offer steady miles, a team that looks out for you, and a clear pay structure that rewards safe, experienced drivers.

Operate Class A tractor-trailers on local routes with home daily, averaging $1,300–$1,600 per week. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, increasing to 28% after 90 days, plus benefits and route flexibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• TWIC card preferred but not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean and ready.
