Job summary

Approved-Trucking in California is seeking an experienced Truck Driver for long-haul routes between Southern California and the Bay Area. The role includes pre/post-trip inspections, loading/unloading, and strict safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with Hazmat and TWIC endorsements.
• 3–5 years of driving experience (OTR or regional preferred).
• Port experience preferred (Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland).
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug test to obtain Medical Card.
• Proficient in using GPS and routing systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate trucks for long-haul routes between Southern California and the Bay Area.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is compliant and safe to operate.
• Perform daily maintenance of the truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.).
• Ensure the truck always has sufficient fuel.
• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy and compliance, and deliver as instructed.
• Load and unload cargo and secure cargo to prevent damages and injuries.
• Report damages and injuries in a timely manner and complete paperwork.
• Adhere to DOT rules and safety practices and communicate professionally with customers and dispatch.
