NOCO Energy Corp. is seeking a CDL A Operator for the Environmental Recovery Fluids Division in Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on the safe transport of waste oil and recovery fluids using CDL vehicles, with strict safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental services or hazardous materials transportation.
  • Valid CDL Class B with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
  • Current Medical Certification and clean driving record.
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by regulations.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of DOT/EPA/state environmental regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL vehicles (tankers and vacuum trucks) following safety guidelines.
  • Load, transport, and unload waste oil and recovery fluids.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Navigate challenging delivery environments (industrial sites, refineries, urban areas).
  • Connect hoses and secure equipment to prevent spills.
  • Maintain records (manifests, logs, mileage).
  • Adhere to hazardous materials transportation regulations.
  • Coordinate pickups with dispatchers and customers.
  • Provide professional customer service during visits.
  • Report spills or incidents per response protocols.
  • Assist with basic maintenance and equipment cleaning.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.

Job description

Position: CDL A Operator- Environmental Recovery Fluids Division Location: Syracuse, NY Compensation: $25.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experience $2,500 Sign-On Bonus!

What We Are Looking For

The Environmental CDL A Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste oil, recovery fluids, and other environmental materials to designated processing facilities. This role ensures the timely and accurate handling of these materials while adhering to strict safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and company policies.

What You Will Do
  • Safely operate CDL vehicles, including tankers and vacuum trucks, following DOT and company safety guidelines.
  • Load, transport, and unload waste oil, recovery fluids, and other materials in compliance with environmental and safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and operational.
  • Navigate challenging delivery environments such as industrial sites, refineries, or tight urban areas, ensuring safe vehicle maneuvering.
  • Connect and operate hoses and other delivery equipment, securing them to avoid spills during material transfers.
  • Maintain accurate records, including manifests, inspection logs, and mileage reports.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and address scheduling changes or issues.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service, ensuring client satisfaction during service visits.
  • Report spills, leaks, or other environmental incidents immediately, following company response protocols.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure it remains in top working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling hazardous materials or operating in high-risk environments.
