Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Yard Jockey to support our delivery operations. The role involves moving trailers, loading/unloading, and coordinating with dispatch to optimize dock and door assignments.

This position requires a valid CDL Class A, English reading ability, and a willingness to work night shifts to meet business needs. We offer weekly pay and benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and ESPP.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with the required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English (conversational) and understand highway signs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments.
• Keep assigned equipment coupled and ready for use.
• Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Load, unload or merge loads between environments.
• Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers and set up trailers for backhaul.
