Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Truck Driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle transporting live poultry or poultry feed while adhering to DOT rules and company policies.

The role includes pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading assistance, secure loads, documentation, and routine truck maintenance. On-the-job training and day-one benefits are provided; candidates must work nights and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with 1 year driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety rules.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses).
• Assist with loading and unloading as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight).
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
