Job summary

Brown Bear Transportation in Lisbon, ME is seeking a CDL A local tanker driver to load and deliver bulk fuels to facilities in the area. Home daily with a 10–12 hour shift, typically starting around 4pm, and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Training is provided; equipment includes late-model Kenworth/Freightliner with safety gear. Benefits start after 90 days, including medical/dental/vision, 401K with company match, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have CDL A license.
• Must have 1 year verifiable tractor trailer experience.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
• TWIC willing to obtain.
• Clean MVR and PSP.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI's in the past 7 years.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering bulk fuels to facilities throughout the area.
• Completing pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as verify loads and deliveries.
• Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading, and other paperwork as required.
• Maintain vehicle, product and equipment to company standards.

Compensation

• Average annual pay: $95,000- $120,000
  • Pay per load
  • Typical 10-12 hour day
  • 4-week training period at $30 an hour
• Quarterly Safety Bonuses up to $650
• Driver Referral Bonus: $2,000 (paid $500 each quarter)
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home Daily!
• Night Shift
• Typical Start time: 4pm with a 10-12 hour shift
• Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday
• Loading and unloading of product according to requirements

Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering bulk fuels to various facilities throughout the area.
• Completing pre- and post trip inspections, as well as verify loads and deliveries
• Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading, and other paperwork as required.
• Maintain vehicle, product and equipment to company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license

• Previous oil or propane delivery experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate in winter weather and on rural roads and driveways

• Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Drivers must live within a 75 miles radius of Lisbon, MEor be willing to relocate for this position. Terminals in: Manchesterand South Portland, ME.
