Job summary

Midland in Normal, IL is seeking a Material Handler/Backup Driver to pick, stage and load trucks, and cover PTO for CDL-A transfer routes in a 48ft-53ft tractor trailer. The role blends local route coverage with warehouse work, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm.

When covering drivers, shifts may vary and you may run up to 10 stops daily with occasional unloading. The ideal candidate has a solid work history, excellent attendance, and is customer focused.

Qualifications

• Solid work history and excellent attendance.
• Customer focused and safety conscious.
• Ability to support PTO driving with local routes and warehouse work.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, stage or convert orders for shipment.
• Package material for shipment with legible labels and order numbers.
• Generate shipping labels and check stock using computer systems.
• Load trucks safely and secure freight for delivery.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules.
