Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to haul no-touch intermodal freight in the Kansas City metro and Edgerton, KS. This local role offers daily home time with an average pay around $75,000 per year and a $10,000 signing bonus.

Shifts are 12 hours with options Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu, start times after 3:00 PM, and home daily. Hazmat endorsement available within 90 days of hire with reimbursement; automatic trucks and safe operation required.

• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver intermodal freight to and from rail partners in the Kansas City metro and Edgerton, KS.
• Start and end each shift at the Edgerton rail yard or the Kansas City terminal.
• Operate automatic trucks with no-touch freight.
• Maintain safe, compliant operation at all times.

Earn an average of $75,000 per year hauling no-touch intermodal freight throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area and Edgerton, Kansas. This local position offers daily home time, flexible schedule options, and a $10,000 bonus.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,500
• Hiring Bonus: $10,000
• Holiday pay begins after 90 days.
• Six paid holidays are available after one consecutive year of full-time employment.
• Holiday pay is based on 8 hours at the drivers regular PTO rate.

Job Details

• Pick up and deliver intermodal freight to and from rail partners throughout the Kansas City metro and Edgerton, KS areas.
• Start and end each shift at either the Edgerton rail yard or the Kansas City terminal.
• Leave the truck at the closest assigned location at the end of each workday.
• All freight is no-touch.
• Operate automatic trucks.
• Obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire; reimbursement is provided with a receipt.

• Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
• Various start times available after 3:00 PM
• Start time depends on the assigned yard.
• All drivers work 12-hour shifts.
• Schedule availability may change, so drivers must remain flexible regarding available options at the time of hire.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work any available schedule
• Ability to operate safely and legally at all times
• No passengers or pets
