Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Warehouse/Distribution Associate to manage material flows, optimize storage, and support distribution activities onsite in Houston. The role includes trailer inspections, cargo handling, inventory control, and packaging according to requirements.

The position requires a CDL Class A license, ability to lift 30 lbs, forklift versatility, and SAP familiarity. English communication skills and a high school diploma are essential. Travel up to 10% and on-site work.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience operating multiple forklift types.
• Prior warehouse experience with SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle material flows and optimize storage.
• Develop and implement distribution strategies to enhance business performance.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of trailers, securing cargo and verifying stability.
• Assist in unloading cargo while maintaining product quality.
• Follow traffic safety regulations and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions.
• Receive, verify, and record goods and shipments to maintain accurate inventory.
• Pack items for shipment according to specifications.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient distribution.
• Follow SOPs and maintain compliance with Good Practice (GxP) regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
