Job summary

Herman N Logistics is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for the Houston area to perform local in-and-out rail moves with daily home time and a stable schedule. Two consecutive days off each week are provided, with day or night shifts depending on the assigned schedule.

The role involves roughly 12-hour workdays, local freight and rail equipment handling, and potential drop-and-hook or live loads/unloads.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on the assigned schedule.
• Flexibility to meet rail and customer operating needs.

Responsibilities

• Local in-and-out rail operations.
• Transport intermodal freight and rail equipment.
• Equipment and freight handling may include drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight.
• Work schedules may be adjusted as needed to meet freight and customer requirements.
• No short-haul pay is offered.
