Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a delivery driver to transport construction materials via flatbed to job sites across Texas. CDL A is required; Moffett experience is a plus. You will load/unload, verify orders, and maintain accurate delivery records while building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL A license required; flatbed experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.
• Moffett experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials to job sites in a safe, timely manner.
• Assist and supervise loading of trucks to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Receive dispatch invoices, directions, and special instructions, then follow them precisely.
• Maintain DOT logs, fuel receipts, and delivery documents per regulations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent service.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any concerns immediately.
• Obtain and return shipping bills and signatures to shipping department.
• Document routine maintenance of truck and loading equipment.
• Survey job site and unload cargo safely in the best area available.
• Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, colors, and pallet packaging.
• Monitor product quality and customer satisfaction, reporting issues.

Job Summary

This job is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of products and materials with a flatbed.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport construction material to job site in a safe and timely manner
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
• Maintain complete and accurate records such as DOT drivers' daily logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation and any other required documents according to state and federal regulations
• Build and maintain good customer relationships
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department
• Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipment
• Survey job site and unload cargo in the best area available in a safe manner
• Develop very good knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet package
• Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent
• Experience with Moffett
• CDL A required
• Must have at least 2 years of experience operating a CDL A vehicle - flatbed is a plus
• Detailed oriented and good communication skills a plus
• Must have a clean driving record
• Forklift certified a plus
• Bi-lingual is a plus
