Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a dock worker/tractor-trailer driver to pickup and deliver cargo within the consolidation center area. You will load and unload trailers using standard dock procedures and equipment, following safety rules and DOT requirements.

Actual duties and schedule vary by terminal location, with shifts that may include days, nights and weekends. Strong reliability and a clean driving record are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for less than 1 year).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements and no automatic restriction.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center.
• Loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and procedures as a dock worker.
• Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.
