Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking a professional truck driver to handle pickup and delivery within the general vicinity of the consolidation center. You will load and unload trailers following standard dock procedures and operate in a role with schedule variations by terminal location.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience and hold a Class-A CDL with relevant endorsements; you must be at least 21, maintain a clean driving record, and pass the

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for <1 year).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements and no automatic restriction
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Safe driving record and stable work history.
• Able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days/nights/weekends vary by location.

The loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Requirements

Experience:

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training).

Certifications:

• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements and no automatic restriction

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Being able to work the required hours at this location will be considered a minimum requirement.
