Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Flatbed Shuttle Driver for Lafayette, IN. This local role offers daily home time with double-drop flatbed trailers and yard-to-yard shuttle runs within the area.

The driver will transport engines, radiators, generators, and related parts, securing freight with chains and binders. Candidates must have a valid CDL-A, 21+ years old, and pass a DOT medical and drug test.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT qualified with a valid medical card.
• Must pass a comprehensive drug test.
• Satisfactory safety and employment history.
• No SAP drivers are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate local shuttle using double-drop flatbed trailers between local yards.
• Transport engines, radiators, generator sets, and other equipment parts.
• Secure freight using chains and binders.
• Maintain local schedule with home daily routes.

Pay Details & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $25–$28
• Annual Earnings: $72,000–$80,000
• Overtime Pay: $42 per hour for hours worked over 40 in a workweek
• $500 new-hire transition bonus, paid in full on the second paycheck
• Referral bonus: Up to $3,000 per qualified driver referred
• Paid orientation: $250 per day for two days
• Home daily with dedicated local routes
