Job summary

Meijer is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver for store-delivery routes across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. This role offers daily home time, no-touch freight, newer equipment, and options for full-time or flexible part-time work.

Average weekly pay is around $1,550 with top earners over $1,750. A $1,500 sign-on bonus and additional pay for backhauls, stops, and holidays accompany a 24/7 on-site support system.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.

Responsibilities

Join a dedicated local store-delivery account offering $1,500 in average weekly pay, with top earners averaging $1,750+ per week. Drivers deliver dry and refrigerated freight throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, with daily home time and full-time or flexible part-time opportunities.

Pay Details & Schedule

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,550
• Top Earner Pay: $1,750+ per week
• Experience-Based Mileage Pay: 0–5 months: $0.59; 6–11 months: $0.60; 12–23 months: $0.61; 24–35 months: $0.62; 36–47 months: $0.63; 48–59 months: $0.64; 60–71 months: $0.65; 72–83 months: $0.66; 84+ months: $0.67 per mile.
• Additional Pay: $51.50 per backhaul, $20 per stop after the first stop, $75 holiday pay, and $45 minimum pay for routes under 76 miles.
• Weekend Incentive: An additional $50 per eligible shift starting Friday at 4 PM through Sunday at 11:59 PM, with potential additional earnings of up to $7,800 annually.
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 total — $250 after the first load, $500 at 30 days, $250 at 60 days, and $500 at 90 days.
• Home Time: Daily, with two days off per week.
• Schedule: A 24/7 operation with variable start times and shifts averaging 12 hours. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required.
• Part-Time Option: Flexible schedules of 8–36 hours per week are available. Part-time drivers are not eligible for vacation pay.

Job Details

• Freight: Dry and refrigerated freight; no-touch, with a mix of live unload and drop-and-hook operations.
• Running Area: Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, within approximately 250 miles of the distribution center.
• Workload: Approximately 1,600–1,700 miles per week for the listed full-time operation.
• Equipment: Newer-model slip-seat day cabs. Assigned trucks are available only as needed.
• Training: One-day ride-along training paid at $100.
• Shift Availability: Start times vary. Contact recruiting or driver placement to confirm current openings.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
