Job summary

Sysco Baraboo, LLC in Baraboo, WI is seeking CDL A Delivery Truck Driver Trainees to train for a Class-A CDL and deliver products to customer routes with a friendly attitude. You will learn unloading, route handling, and DOT compliance while building relationships with customers.

You will undergo pre-employment testing, aim to obtain CDL within 90 days, and you may participate in SkillBridge. Veterans are encouraged to apply and growth within Sysco’s logistics network is available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment testing.
• Must obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of start date to remain actively employed.
• CDL permit and DOT medical certification may be obtained during SkillBridge program for eligible participants.
• Veterans encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer by hand or with a hand cart and place in customer storage areas.
• Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures; resolve invoice discrepancies with management.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities per DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
• Complete DOT logs and reconciliations with company personnel.
• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows; inform management of deviations.
