Job summary

Sysco is seeking delivery drivers in Fort Myers, FL to run daily routes with frequent stops and load/unload product at each stop on the route. You may assist with loading trucks in a cross-dock model and return the truck to the loading lot at day’s end.

Required are 21+ years old, a valid CDL Class A, ability to read and speak English, and flexibility for overtime, weekends and holidays. DOT inspections and safety rules apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass employment screening.
• License to drive - valid CDL Class A.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and reports.
• Touch freight - lift/move 40-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer with hand cart to designated storage areas.
• Lift/move product up to 100 lbs; stack pallets and use hand carts.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Call in when a customer does not receive entire order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections per DOT and Sysco policies.
