Job summary

Forward Intermodal is seeking Class A CDL Owner Operators to run intermodal routes within 200 miles of our Rockford terminal. You will haul containers from Wisconsin in and out of Chicago rail yards, typically one run per day, with a mix of local and regional freight.

This opportunity offers a consistent schedule and strong earning potential, with weekly settlements and a comprehensive rate structure. You’ll enjoy daily home time, plate/IFTA programs, and access to an onsite mechanic for support.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• At least 12 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Previous IML experience preferred.

Class A CDL Owner Operators - $2,500 – 3,000 / AWG

Looking for an intermodal career with a reliable schedule and more time at home? Forward Intermodal is partnering with Class A CDL Owner Operators in the Rockford, Illinois area to run routes within 200 miles of our terminal to our trusted customers. Haul containers from Wisconsin in and out of Chicago rail yards. While running 1 run a day on average, with a mix of local and regional runs that are 95% drop & hook freight, you spend less time waiting and more time earning.
