Job summary

Boss Heavy Haul in Lake City, GA is seeking a Class A CDL Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team for OTR / Regional runs. You will operate specialized trailers, perform inspections, and ensure safe, timely deliveries of oversized and overweight loads.

The role requires a clean MVR, current DOT medical card, and several years of heavy-haul experience. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive dispatch environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• DOT medical card current.
• Minimum 5 years of Class A driving experience.
• Minimum 2 years in heavy haul / oversized load transport.
• Experience with lowboy, RGN, step-deck or flatbed equipment.
• Knowledge of load securement regulations and permit routing.
• Must pass DOT drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport oversized/overweight loads including heavy construction equipment.
• Operate lowboy, RGN, step-deck, and flatbed trailers.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads using chains, binders, and straps.
• Obtain and follow state oversize/overweight permits and routing.
• Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD) and delivery documentation.
• Coordinate with dispatch, customers, and pilot car escorts.
• Keep truck clean and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Perform basic roadside repairs as needed.
