Job summary

Buckley Powder Co. is hiring dedicated drivers to operate semis and straight trucks, delivering explosives products to customer accounts in a safe and timely manner. You will track inventory, adhere to safety protocols, and assist with labor tasks as needed.

We require a valid CDL (A or B) with hazmat endorsements, pass ATF and pre-employment checks, and maintain a clean MVR. The role blends physical labor with driving in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsements and one year experience preferred
• Pass ATF background check
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Clean MVR and Background
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Reliable and customer oriented
• Safety oriented
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read and interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies or procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various types of trucks to transport materials and equipment to customer locations
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety standards
• Plan and follow efficient routes using maps and GPS
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Accurately document inventory levels and deliveries
• Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and incidents
• Prepare and maintain records concerning use and detonation of explosives
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA, BATFE regulations
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• This is 70% physical labor and 30% driving
• Wear and use PPE as required
• May assist with labor activities on the job site
