Job summary

Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. in Ocala, FL seeks a skilled CDL Class A Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery on natural gas pipeline projects.

You will work with excavators, bulldozers, trenchers, backhoes, loaders, and other equipment, performing pre-trip inspections and loading/unloading duties as needed. This role requires adherence to DOT and company safety rules, accurate daily logs, coordination with supervisors, and willingness to travel to various job sites within

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy equipment in natural gas/utility construction.
• Proficient with excavators, bulldozers, trenchers, backhoes and loaders.
• Ability to travel to Fort Pierce, FL area and beyond.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, trenchers, backhoes and loaders.
• Safely transport materials, equipment, and personnel to job sites per DOT and company rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Assist with loading/unloading of equipment and materials.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies for natural gas operations.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew members clearly.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and time sheets.
• Attend daily safety meetings and briefings.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
