Job summary

Kids for the Future in Nesbit, MS seeks a CDL-equipped heavy truck operator to manage transportation of waste to and from destinations. You will operate trucks, load and secure waste, and ensure timely service while maintaining accurate logs.

The role requires compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations, routine maintenance, and strong safety awareness. Travel is local with occasional overnight trips as needed, and a focus on customer service at delivery points.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license with Class A CDL endorsement (no active violations in the last 3 years).
• Tanker and Haz-Mat Endorsement preferred.
• HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Understanding of business principles and remediation services.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment and tools used in remediation.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Prepare and maintain work records and driver logs.
• Travel locally and some overnight as required.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety programs.
• Decontaminate equipment to remove hazardous substances.
• Interpret information and communicate with staff.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with supervision.
