Job summary

Team Elmer's in Michigan is seeking a Gravel Trains Truck Driver to operate CDL A heavy haul equipment out of Manistee. You will transport materials to specified destinations while complying with DOT regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years driving gravel train experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening. Excellent safety and customer-service mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles/Triples Endorsement.
• Clean driving record for past 5 years.
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Previous gravel train and heavy haul experience (2–3 years) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and safety equipment for proper operation.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and binders.
• Maintain logs per state and federal regulations.
• Check loads for cargo securement and route details.
• Operate GPS and truck cab computer to follow routes.
• Plan routes to minimize fuel use and emissions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Provide top-notch customer service.
• Report vehicle defects and incidents promptly.
