Job summary

Tri-State Tree Service in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Commercial CDL Driver to operate grapple trucks and support arboriculture crews. This role blends heavy equipment operation with demanding physical labor, including climbing, loading, and site restoration.

You will drive specialized trucks, perform equipment maintenance, and coordinate with teams and clients to ensure projects finish safely and on time. A valid CDL Class A and DOT physical are required, with a strong work ethic and attention

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with exemplary driving history
• Capability to satisfy DOT physical and medical standards
• Superior physical conditioning for challenging outdoor labor in all weather
• Mechanical understanding for equipment handling and maintenance
• Outstanding spatial perception for operating large equipment in restricted areas

Responsibilities

• Handle grapple trucks for collecting and loading tree materials from sites
• Operate skid steer and dump trucks when access is restricted
• Perform daily vehicle evaluations and maintain equipment
• Navigate confined residential locations for cleanup
• Scale ladders to operate grapple mechanisms at height
• Use blowers and rakes for detailed debris removal
• Manually load brush and materials
• Ensure site restoration meets quality benchmarks
• Coordinate with arboriculture crews to gather materials
• Engage with clients and process payments when needed
• Ensure complete restoration before leaving site
• Keep work zones organized and presentable
• Comply with DOT and safety standards
• Perform routine equipment servicing and report issues
• Be aware of overhead hazards and utilities
• Provide equipment safety and maintenance training
