Job summary

A leading grain transportation company in Gladstone is looking for a dedicated driver to safely operate semi-trailer trucks. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle compliance, collecting delivery instructions, and participating in safety programs. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and a CDL Class A license. The position offers full-time hours with compensation ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan, medical and dental coverage, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required – None. Preferred – 2 Years’ Experience.
• Must meet company Commercial Driver's insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate semi-trailer trucks to transport goods.
• Perform pre and post vehicle inspections.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify routes.
• Participate in the company's Safety Program.

Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to meet all DOT requirements

Ability to operate tractor/trailer in extreme weather

Ability to follow directions and troubleshoot problems
