Job summary

NIS Express in Fernandina Beach, FL is hiring motivated drivers to turn a CDL into a full-time career. You’ll train with a dedicated trainer for 3 to 5 weeks, and you’ll earn a paycheck during training. No road experience needed—just your CDL and drive to succeed.

Route is regional east of I-35 with no-touch dry van freight. Weekly pay from $1,200 to $1,500, benefits after 30 days, and a path to home weekly or biweekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• 120+ hours completed at accredited CDL school.
• DOT medical and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer per DOT regulations.

NIS Express is looking for motivated people in Fernandina Beach,FL who are ready to turn their CDL into a full-time career. No road experience needed, just your CDL and the drive to succeed.

• Training program: 3 to 5 weeks, one dedicated trainer, fully paid
• Freight type: no-touch dry van, drop and hook 70% of the time
• Truck: late model Freightliner or Kenworth, 2024 to 2025, APU included
• Route territory: regional routes east of I-35
• Weekly pay: $1,200 to $1,500, paid every week via direct deposit
• Time off: home every week or every other week

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM DAY ONE

From the moment you join, you're not on your own. You'll be paired with a personal trainer who rides with you, teaches you, and evaluates you before you ever go solo, and you earn a paycheck the entire time.

Your trainer walks you through:

• Safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer on real routes
• Electronic logging and hours-of-service rules
• Proper pre and post-trip inspections
• Dispatch communication and company procedures

No shortcuts, no rushing. You go solo when you're ready.

THE JOB

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Freight is dry van, no-touch, approximately 70% drop and hook
• Maintain on-time delivery performance
• Complete accurate ELD logs, DVIRs, and trip documentation daily
• Inspect your vehicle before and after every run
• Keep communication with dispatch and customers professional at all times

WHAT YOU NEED

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours completed at an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre‑employment drug screen
