Job summary

NIS Express in Montgomery, AL is looking for motivated individuals to turn their CDL into a full-time career. No road experience is required—just your CDL and the drive to succeed.

You’ll undergo a 3–5 week paid training program with a dedicated trainer, and you’ll earn a paycheck during training. The role includes regional routes east of I-35, no-touch freight, weekly pay, and home time weekly or every other week.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required or in-training completion with CDL license
• Clean driving record and adherence to DOT rules
• Knowledge of hours-of-service rules and ELD procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Willingness to participate in paid training program

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Perform no-touch dry van freight operations (drop & hook ~70%)
• Maintain on-time delivery performance
• Complete ELD logs, DVIRs, and trip documentation daily
• Inspect vehicle before and after runs and communicate with dispatch professionally

NIS Express is looking for motivated people in Montgomery, AL who are ready to turn their CDL into a full-time career. No road experience needed, just your CDL and the drive to succeed.

• Training program: 3 to 5 weeks, one dedicated trainer, fully paid
• Freight type: no-touch dry van, drop and hook 70% of the time
• Truck: late model Freightliner or Kenworth, 2024 to 2025, APU included
• Route territory: regional routes east of I-35
• Weekly pay: $1,200 to $1,500, paid every week via direct deposit
• Time off: home every week or every other week

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM DAY ONE

From the moment you join, you're not on your own. You'll be paired with a personal trainer who rides with you, teaches you, and evaluates you before you ever go solo, and you earn a paycheck the entire time.

Your trainer walks you through:

• Safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer on real routes
• Electronic logging and hours-of-service rules
• Proper pre and post-trip inspections
• Dispatch communication and company procedures

No shortcuts, no rushing. You go solo when you're ready.

THE JOB

WHAT YOU NEED

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours completed at an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
