Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Chalmette, LA is hiring entry-level CDL drivers for a first trucking job that doesn’t require prior experience. You’ll receive paid training, a weekly guarantee once you’re solo, and home time every two weeks.

During training you earn $650/week for 4–6 weeks plus $300 orientation pay and lodging covered. After solo you’ll get a $1,000 weekly guarantee for 3 months and an average weekly pay of $1,200–$1,800, with up to 2,900 miles per week.

Qualifications

• 21+, valid Class A CDL, 120 hours of CDL school minimum.
• No experience required; experienced: 6 months OTR in 12 months or 12 months in 5 years.
• DD214 considered.
• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, nothing serious in 12 months.
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug test, 3 years verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Haul dry van with drop and hook and occasional live loads.
• Maintain safe driving practices and log hours accurately.
