Summerset Marine Construction is seeking a professional CDL delivery driver to safely deliver Summerset and Lifetime products using commercial motor vehicles in Wisconsin. You will load, unload, and secure loads, perform vehicle inspections, and comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations while ensuring on-time job-site deliveries.

Ideal candidates hold a Class A CDL with current medical certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to read and follow safety procedures.

• Deliver all equipment and products using company vehicles
• Communicate with General Manager to ensure correct products are loaded and delivered to job sites
• Drive safely and efficiently to job sites
• Load trucks and assist with unloading
• Secure loads with appropriate straps and equipment and verify before transport

About the role

Safely delivers Summerset and Lifetime products while operating commercial motor vehicles in compliance with company policies and applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations.

What you'll do

• Conducts safe deliveries of all equipment and products using company vehicles.
• Communicates with the General Manager of Construction to ensure the correct products are loaded and delivered to job sites.
• Drives products safely and efficiently to job sites.
• Loads trucks with products for crews and customers.
• Safely secures loads using appropriate straps, chains, binders, or other securement equipment and verifies loads are properly secured before transport.
• Performs required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports vehicle defects, damage, or safety concerns to maintenance.
• Complies with all applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations and company driver policies, including drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Maintains a valid CDL, medical certification, and any endorsements required for the vehicles being operated.
• Monitors vehicle condition during operation and promptly reports mechanical or safety concerns.
• Assists with loading and unloading deliveries and operates material handling equipment as needed during downtime.
• Complies with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts:

• Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or outdoor environment, with exposure to weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, rain, and heat.
• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 70 pounds, as required for loading and unloading cargo.
• Steel-toed shoes required, and other varying personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on job site conditions.
• May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl in certain situations, including during vehicle inspections or loading/unloading tasks.
