Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in South Elgin, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for regional routes with sleeper tractors and Dry Van 53" trailers. Weekly pay starts at $1,660.68 per week or more, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus and paid training.

Schedule is Monday–Sunday, with start times around 1:30 AM to 5:00 AM. Deliveries are no touch; routes shuttle from South Elgin to Wixom, MI. Ryder supports with uniforms and boot/cell phone allowances, 401(k) with company match after 1 year, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle checks including drug and alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and company rules.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards; maintain records and logs.
• Load/unload freight if required by customer; perform other duties as assigned.
