Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a Recovery Technician in Texas to safely load, transport, and document cargo while complying with all regulations. The role requires Class A license, X Endorsement, and strong organizational and communication skills. You will perform inspections, handle logs and bills, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma minimum.
• Class A license is required.
• X Endorsement required.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, and transport cargo in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and load safety.
• Complete and maintain required documentation, including logbooks, manifests, and bills of lading.
• Follow legislation related to transportation, hours of service, dangerous goods, and workplace safety.
• Maneuver vehicles for loading/unloading and ensure proper equipment positioning.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, and delivery issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Deliver products courteously and on time, maintaining clean and safe work areas.
• Provide training and perform additional duties as assigned.
