Job summary

TAS Environmental Services, LP is seeking a Driver Operator to safely operate heavy trucks and specialized equipment. You will manage cargo loading/unloading, maintain paperwork, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections while prioritizing safety and on-schedule performance.

The role involves handling both non-hazardous and hazardous materials following DOT guidelines, with duties extending to biohazard cleanups and site spill cleanup as required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License is required.
• Hazmat Endorsement is required.
• Tanker Endorsement is required.
• Ability to read, write and do mathematics is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and regulations, and adhering to hours-of-service requirements.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured, and managing paperwork related to shipments.
• Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verifying instructions and routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers, maintain accurate trip logs, and document deliveries.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures.
• Perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups
• Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and cleanup of spill sites
• Other duties as assigned
