Job summary

Metropolitan Environmental Services Inc. in Ohio is hiring a CDL A Driver-Operator to support our industrial services. You will operate roll off trucks, vacuum trucks, and tractors with various trailers, with daytime hours, Monday through Saturday.

We offer full benefits and a $1,000 bonus at 90 and 180 days. Requires a valid CDL Class A; Hazmat endorsement preferred with pay increase; tanker endorsement required.

Qualifications

• DOT physical and company drug screen completion required.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred with pay increase.
• Valid CDL Class A license; manual transmission experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll off trucks, vacuum trucks, and tractors with various trailers.
• Transport non-hazardous bulk materials and equipment to job sites and facilities.
• Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company policies.
• Load and unload bulk materials and equipment ensuring secure transport.
• Maintain driver logs and required documentation accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and site rules under the Site Supervisor.

Job Description

We are hiring dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A drivers to support our environmental and industrial services operations. This position primarily supports the Industrial Services group but may also assist clients directly. Drivers will operate roll off trucks, vaccum trucks, and tractors with various trailer types.tract. Travel is minimal and most jobs are performed during regular daytime hours, Monday through Saturday.

Job Duties

• Safely operate various types of roll off trucks, vacuum trucks, and tractors with van, flatbed, or specialty trailers
• Transport non-hazardous bulk materials and equipment to and from job sites, client facilities, and disposal centers
• Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company policies
• Load and unload bulk materials and equipment ensuring secure and compliant transport
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements while working under the direction of the Site Supervisor

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license (manual transmission experience strongly preferred)
• CDL Class A with current HAZMAT endorsement is preferred and will come with pay increase
• Tanker endorsement required
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions performing physical labor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• All candidates must complete and pass a DOT physical, company non-DOT physical, or a combination of both, which includes bloodwork, lift test, pulmonary function test (PFT), audiogram, and a company drug screen
• No OMVI/DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions within the past 2 years
• No license suspensions or major violations in the past 3 years
• No more than 2 speeding tickets or 4 total moving violations in the past 3 years
• Willingness to comply with all company and client safety and operational policies
• Flexibility to work some weekends and occasional travel based on project needs
