Job summary

Cando Rail & Terminals is seeking a part-time CDL A driver for on-site operations in Rifle, Colorado. The role involves safely transporting products year-round, coordinating with dispatch, and supporting broader operations while upholding a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 1 year of CDL A driving experience in mountain/snow conditions, read/write/speak English, and pass a road test with pre- and post-trip inspections.

Qualifications

• Safety consciousness and understanding of safe work practices.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Drive and work in adverse weather conditions, including mountain driving.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport products to and from locations year-round.
• Partner with dispatch in safely transporting dry freight materials.
• Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations.
• Report maintenance issues to Dispatch.
• Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at safety meetings.
