Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CDL-A Truck Driver to join our Des Moines/Grimes area team. You will deliver lumber, building materials, and other construction products to residential and commercial sites across Iowa, while upholding safety and service standards.

Daily duties include operating flatbed equipment, securing loads, loading/unloading, and coordinating with dispatch and customers. This full-time, onsite role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record; Class B considered with experience.
• 2+ years CDL driving experience preferred.
• Experience with flatbed trailers and load securement (straps, chains, tarps) preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regs, vehicle inspections, safe transport practices.
• Ability to handle building materials in various weather and site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Deliver lumber, drywall, trusses, siding, roofing materials, windows, doors to sites.
• Inspect loads for accuracy and secure for transport.
• Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts or material handling equipment.
• Navigate residential and commercial job sites with safety awareness.
• Provide professional customer service and coordinate with dispatch and customers.
