Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record; 6 months driving experience minimum, 1 year preferred.
• Possess a current DOT Medical Certification Card and pass DOT pre-employment requirements.
• Dependable attendance and a great customer service attitude.
• Ability to operate a lift gate and refrigeration unit.
• Must read and communicate in English and understand highway signs and signals.
• Food and beverage distribution industry experience preferred; 6 months minimum with 100% touch freight.
• Must satisfy FMCSA driver qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tractor-trailer truck delivering to destinations.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Ensures delivery paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Delivers products and unloads using a hand truck or pallet jack.
• Scans product labels and reports shorts or damages.
• Maintains logs per Federal, State and DOT regulations.
• Communicates delays or problems with NDCP Member Services.
• Keeps truck interior clean and disposes of trash from deliveries.
• Trains and leverages a Delivery Assistant when applicable.
• Represents NDCP professionally with customers during deliveries.
