Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver to operate on local and regional lanes, home daily with no-touch freight and consistent year-round work. The role offers multiple shift options, overtime after 40 hours, and a strong hourly pay in the Kansas City area.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, 21+ years old, and a clean driving record; 6 months tractor-trailer experience or CDL school completion is preferred. Location: 4706 Stillwell, Kansas City, MO 64120.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience preferred OR CDL school completion.
• Clean driving record.
• No DUI/OWI in last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in last 3 years.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Secure freight when needed.
• Report mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules safely.
