Job summary

Ferguson in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Delivery Driver to load, haul, and unload building materials to contractor and commercial customers. You will drive a CDL-equipped truck, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure accurate delivery while representing Ferguson's commitment to safety and service.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, following DOT regulations, and using an iPad for orders. The schedule is Mon-Fri with overtime as needed, and you will enjoy competitive pay, benefits, and

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain CDL requirements and DOT standards.
• Must have/maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Warehouse/logistics experience a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer focus.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and dolly, ensuring ticket accompanies material.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product for credit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse with order prep, receiving, staging and stocking.
• Work overtime as needed; comply with PPE safety rules.
