Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers safely and on time. You’ll be the company ambassador, providing exceptional service while handling pickups and drop-offs and performing pre-trip inspections.

Home nightly and opportunities for career advancement are highlighted in this role. Requirements include valid CDL-A, a clean driving record, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Safety sensitive position per company policies.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) per CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements including FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties as assigned.
