Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Madison, AL is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers to safely operate tractor-trailer and straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. You will deliver food products, unload at customer sites, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate delivery documentation while adhering to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Possess or obtain DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test and be able to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers, ensuring timely and accurate information.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspect tractor/trailer to meet DOT and company standards.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards and required repairs.
• Drive assigned routes, deliver orders on schedule, and unload products at customer facilities.
• Collect signatures, verify deliveries, and complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Move equipment to loading docks, secure trailers, and manage loading/unloading of freight.
• Complete daily log hours of service per federal and company requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of tractor, loading dock areas, and trailers; perform related duties as assigned.
