ExpressPros - Decatur, AL is partnering with a family-owned trucking company to hire a CDL-A driver for an interstate logistics role near Trinity, AL. This evaluation-to-hire opportunity offers potential for full-time placement after a successful probation period.

You will operate 53' dry van trucks, deliver freight to manufacturing plants, and maintain DOT compliance. Candidates should have 2-3 years of verifiable CDL experience, a clean DMV/MVR, and be at least 23.

Qualifications

Must be at least 23 years of age.
2-3 years of verifiable experience operating a tractor with a 53' dry van in the last 5 years.
2 years DMV/MVR record with 2 or less moving violations.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver freight and comply with company and D.O.T. safety standards.
Move trailers around the yard, plants and warehouses preparing them to load or unload cargo.
Ensure area remains clear to allow traffic to pass through easily.
Be familiar with FMSCA safety regulations that pertain to the operation of a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce.
Document the pickup and delivery of assigned freight accurately and in accordance with company policy.
Monitor the condition of the vehicle you are operating, including pre/post trip inspections.
Accurately fill out and turn in all required bills, documents, receipts, and reports.
Report potential mechanical problems on assigned trucks and trailers to Maintenance Department.
