Job summary

Arnoff Moving & Storage, Inc is seeking experienced CDL-A Contractors in the Hudson Valley area who own their own tractor to partner with our 102-year-old moving and storage team. You will operate Arnoff trailers, transport household goods, and assist with loading and unloading while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

The ideal contractor will have a valid CDL-A license, a clean driving record, and 2+ years of commercial driving experience with knowledge of DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Moving and storage, furniture delivery, or household goods experience preferred.
• Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle record checks.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor and Arnoff trailers safely and efficiently.
• Transport household goods, office furniture, equipment, and other property.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing shipments when necessary.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, ELD logs, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations staff, and customers.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
